Dion and I take a 9 day trip to Utah to hike in Zion national park and attend the 2005 Hummer Club off road trip to Moab. We took lots of pictures so this is broken up into 8 seperate albums for your viewing pleasure.

Our Annual trip along the Mojave Road. This year we did the trail 2 months earlier and we were rewarded with great weather. The trail was fantastic and senic as always. We decided to camp under the train tressel and had an amazing show every two hours or so. Not everyone enjoyed it as much as Dion and I did but the trip was great overall.

We went to Big Bear for a two day off road and camping adventure and we got a bit more than we bargained for. Dion and family, Jeff, Kenny and Ciara, Aaron and CJ set off for a 3 hour tour... on the first big hill CJ's stock jeep popped a CV joint and we had to tow him out to the road to wait for the tow truck. We cooked dinner on the side of the road and had a pretty good time waiting for CJ's ride. We made it to our camp site very late and the next morning we went and did the Rock Garden.

Another trip to one of our favorite trails; Last Chance Canyon. This was a two day trip and the weather was a bit cold and rainy. Dion and I were joined by Aaron and the "Cowboy Contingent". We learned a lot about the lifestyle of folks that listen to country music and perhaps we imparted some of our unique urban wisdom. Maybe not. A nice trip, though.

A family trip to Last Chance Canyon with overnight camping too. We ran into a great group of Jeepers called Lost KJ West. Dion brought the worlds largest tent so he could set up his home theater rig with surround sound. Nothing like roughing it. Kenny, Ciara, Brian and Roger were all along for the fun. This was Brian's first time out with his new 4Runner and the running boards were the first thing to go.

We took a day trip out to Frazier Park for some easy trails. It was a gorgeous day and we met a large group of Ham geeks at the top of the hill. These guys make us computer types look like James Dean on the cool scale when in reality we're more like Emo Phillips.

The Mojave Road is a trail that is 120 miles long. We have traveled this trail numerous times in the last 10 years and it is one of our favorite trips. This time we brought along some n00bs eager to scratch up their daily drivers. Jeff, Dion, Aaron, Dean, Donny and Bob spent a few days in the 110 degree heat and we had a blast.

When in doubt, go back to Afton Canyon. Dion, Kyle, Conan, Alex and I headed out for some fun in the desert. This was our last off-road trip with Conan and Alex as they were moving to Texas at the end of July.

A great trip to Last Chance Canyon. We actually were able to do the whole trail and get home at a reasonable time. The chalk mines were awesome and Conan got to yank Dion off of a high center thus continuing the circle of life. The weather was perfect and the scenery was amazing.

Return visit to Big Bear. We were lucky to be able to stay with Derek and Dionne at their cabin so we could get a full day of wheeling in. Conan gave Dion a chance to try out his recovery gear on two occasions.

A great trip to Afton Canyon. There was lots of water and mud and the caterpillars were out in force. The desert was in full bloom and we had a beautiful day out. The dry lake bed was soaked and as mucky as I've ever seen it. We had to turn around and go back the way we came. We did not get home until 1:00 am the next day.

This is the first trip for Dion in the new Hummer and for me in the new Landcruiser. A short trip to familiar terrain made for a nice day.
